We always have a choice

I read this a couple of days ago, now i cannot tell where i got this. Now i think that it could be from the "Accept the Universe" channel on Youtube, but i clearly cannot tell from which video.
We could grasp this idea from simple thing such as having a choice what to have for dinner. Then we could elevate it to things such as either we stay or leave a relationship. I initially thought that the only difference between these is the consequence, but now i think it's more of the fear of the consequence rather than the consequence itself. Having a bad dish would results in disappointed feeling when we are hungry, but leaving a relationship hurts us in the long term and we lose a person in our life.
However, there are situation we don't think we have a choice when clearly there's another choice. We could quit or continue, give up what we are doing and do something totally different, it's not called give up but to change - because we are still trying. Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional - No matter what we do, there is a pain waiting ahead, but suffering is accepting that there's no other way but to keep trying harder, i've tried doing the same thing for the last 2 years but nothing changed, why keep trying harder? Just remember that we always have a choice, it's not a matter of right or wrong but simply another option that we could consider. Part of this could be the identity and subconscious mind filter that choice out of our mind, but what if the old identity only leads to suffer?
When a decision is done, it's no longer about right or wrong but rather about how we react/ carry the consequence of that decision. Maybe we made a stupid choice and pay the price after that, but if we don't learn something out of that stupid decision and run away instead of sticking around and do something with it, we wasted an opportunity to gain experience in life. At least an apologize is a proof to ourself that we done wrong and admitted it.
The other thing i need to remind myself is that the bad decision is not the worst, the regret that we carry years after is the worst. As the creator of "Accept The Universe" channel beautifully put - Regret is nothing but a wish to do something that is no longer possible.
